Hotel del Mar, also known as Santa Maria del Mar Hotel and later Villa Maria del Mar, is shown is the background on a cliff near the shore of the ocean. Behind the hotel is a windmill and a water tower, and another small house. In the midground waves hit the the sandy beach and rocks along the coast. In the foreground is a young boy standing on a cliff walking towards the left of the composition. The title written on the photo says the hotel was near Corcoran Lagoon, on East Cliff Dr. in Santa Cruz. |
